No, Socrates existed. There are legal records that show Plato was one of his bondsmen, for example. His existence wasn't fabricated, but his beliefs could certainly have been misrepresented by Plato just like with his treatment of the Sophists.

In Siberia the shamans in certain areas would feed the fly agarics to reindeers. the reindeers enjoy the trip and would just hang out with the shamans tripping.
