Oh boy....guys...

I just started reading this.

The prose kicks ass so far, but I get the feeling the real fun has yet to begin.

Actual discussion? Well FUCK this guy!

I saw some average looking guy reading it in the library. All I knew about the book was that /lit/ thinks it's beautiful. Then I found out what it was about, and I to this day I don't understand how such a normal looking guy came across this book and I wonder what he was thinking when he was reading it.

Not only is there no discussion, it's a 'blog' post.

I'd complain about how we've all discussed this novel to death but the archive no longer exists.

Actually, that was a question I wanted to put forward: "is it ok to read this book in public?"

Will people think I'm a pedo? Will soccer moms grab their small curvy daughters and run like the wind? Or is that just rippening foreplay?

Honestly I don't know. I hadn't even heard about the book till I came to /lit/. I haven't read it either. Just put a Hunger Games jacket on it if you want to be totally safe.

I doubt the type of people who would have those reactions know what Lolita means.
