Why the fuck is Juliet such a dumb cunt? How can this bitch just not run away with Romeo. Me and my friends watch some dramatic/tragedy movies to make fun of while we watch it and that was all i could think of.

PS. I think more people on this board read the book than the people on the /tv/ board watching the movie. Thats why I posted it on this board instead.

Also running away really isn't an option in a world where your family and social position make up a large part of both your identity and your ability to literally survive. Between the two of them, Romeo and Juliet have the following skills: "moderate sword-fighting ability," and "literacy." Running away to start a new life simply isn't a realistic option for them, which is why Romeo's banishment is such a big deal. R&J isn't a "great" play but learning a little bit about the world in which it was set and the world of the author will help make it a little more intelligible for you.
