Why reread something when you can get a fresh perspective on it with new characters and settings etc. It's a brand new adventure. That's how I look at it anyway. There's not much originality in fantasy and, to a lesser extent, sci-fi, but I like when people make something out of older books and add something new to it.

Well since I'm not brain damaged like most of these "scholars" and "literary masters", I'll answer your question. It took me a while to finish the first book because of the different POVs and characters in general. However the second and third books i fell in love with and finished both of those in about a month. It was like crack, i just couldnt stop and wanted to find out what happens.

Anywho, It took me a little while to get used to the jumping around and all the new characters, but once you get into a groove you breeze through the books pretty quickly. You can plow through the whole series in a week or two.
