For all you writers out there, how many of you are actually planning to write literary fiction?

I don't give a shit what I write. I write it, it's other people who give a shit what it is or isn't.

I am gonna rip off the concept behind The Three Kingdoms. (10% historical accuraccy, 90% major embellishments) and apply it to the founding of the USA and the Revolutionary war.

What's that? George Washington washington is pistol whipping redcoats with one hand and using his wooden teeth in the other to rip off the balls of an enemy commander? Awesome

Who's that with being all back to back badasses on horseback with a combination of musket fire and improbable knife tossing skills? Why, Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson of course!

Remember when Ben Franklin invented the pot belly stove? Sure you do. Remember when he used it as a torture device because your screams couldn't exit the chamber? FUCK YEAR!

I have been writing literary fiction for ages now. I have no idea how people can stand writing anything other than literary fiction. It is so much fun to construct

I am happy to see this board is still active

every man to his own.

I'm writing science fiction right now, maybe I'll experiment with some literary goodness later when I'm more confident in my abilities.

You dislike writing sci-fi because you can't pull shit straight out of your ass and have to actually research things.
