Why didn't Harry Potter die instantly from the venom he sustained from Basilisk Bite in the Chamber of Secrets since he was a horcrux?

The Phoenix wasn't right there using it's tears on Harry at the moment he sustained the bite. Doesn't Basilisk venom instantly destroy horcruxes?

Why didn't Harry just call the fucking police?

Not instantly. The Dairy took a few good stabs before it went down. And I'd assume that the human form is a bit tougher that a book.

Why didn't the Order just use McGonagall's Time-Turner to go back in time and kill Voldemort BEFORE Harry's parents were murdered?

I've never read the full series, but this is what my friend had to say about it "the sword had to destroy/ kill the basilisk to gain the power from it. harry wasnt killed by the basilisk. if he had been, well there"

Is this valid?

Paradoxes, space-time continuum mess up, etc. But they could have used it for more short term solutions I guess.

The time turners were a huge fuckup on Rowlings part.

Yeah the time-turner kind of sucked. Like how Hermonie was so against using it to prevent Pettigrew from escaping cause they might see themselves in the past and for some reason kill each other or something. Then in the 7th book, ron under the polyjuice potion gets seen by the dude he is pretending to be and nothing happens.

Also the fact that Harry knew that one of Voldemort's follows were going to aid him to revive and he totally lets that fucker go instead of bringing back the dude's body as proof.

Harry and Hermonie are really responsible for the deaths of hundreds. Man, the 3rd book blows.

Harry wasn't a horcrux, at least not exactly. He had a piece of Voldemorts soul in him, but he wasn't a complete horcrux so much. Rowling goes into better detail in interviews, but it's beside the point, if anything, the basilisk biting him wouldn't have killed him but killed the piece of Voldemort's soul in harry, just like when he SPOILERZ gets AK'ed in 7 and doesn't die, simply loses the piece of Voldysoul.
