I THINK THAT HAVING ONE "FAVORITE SHORT STORY" IS ONLY POSSIBLE IF THE PERSON WAS GOING THROUGH A "CRISIS" OF SOME SORT WHEN THE PERSON READ THE STORY & LIKED IT.

Oh, that parrot image. I think a lot of people end up discovering the story while trying to google the image up.
