the three metamorphoses is the dumbest shit I've ever read. Children don't "create" values. They're blank slates who have values imprinted on to them. It's not possible to "create" anything. Only nature can innovate, stupid human minds only learn imitate. Why does Nietzsche talk about the supremacy of the body if he thinks that it's possible for the mind to create values? what a dumbass.

There's no way that real people still believe in Lockeish tabula rasa nonsense.

What distinguishes humans from other great apes is their advanced neoteny. The brain is still mush when it comes out of the brain, this allows the world to easily imprint itself on the brain. Anything that is innate dwells in the body, not the mind. The body produces pleasure and pain. The mind can't create values. And even if the mind had innate values, that wouldn't change my criticism of Nietzsche.

Behavioral genetics are the body forcing its values on the mind.

>They're blank slates who have values imprinted on to them
Kids extract values from their surroundings, they are constantly on the hunt for them. They take objects around them and make worlds out of them, that's why toys are popular, kids create and fetch concepts out of objects.
For a teenager or young adult like most of this board, you project your already conceived values on objects. You don't paint your little toy car and have them go on little races around your bed, thus creating and attempting to apply values and ideas you have seen before. You already have them, you just constantly strive for your values and ideas to be made manifest, instead of manifesting them out of objects. See how much young man and woman focus on keeping platonic beauty standarts, body shape and how much they worry about not meeting up with their values of perceived physical or monetary superiority. Intellectual superiority as well, that's why they constantly bash their heads to fight older authority figures. Also why the youth makes for good political activists, they want to see their values made manifest.

Sounds like you never really played as a kid. We were treating the playground like we were early main upon the steppe, making up rituals and ruling our little chiefdoms.

It’s an allusion to Heraclitus

The concept of a child in Nietzsche's metamorphoses is intended to bring to mind playfulness. Creation is playful. Heraclitus says the same thing:

>Time is a child playing draughts, the kingly power is a child's

Zeus was seen as a child in the sense that he was always playing. Even when raping some human broad, he was in a state of play, a totally free state that is making use of the rules of the game to have the fun he wants to have. If you're a Christian or a heavily moral person then you'll find this ultimately Greek idea difficult to stomach.

I'm sure you understood the relation between mind and body in Nietzsche very well.

You don't understand what it is to create. Creating is an act of synthesis, not an act of creation ex nihilo. People synthesize their own values from their experience; this does not mean that their values are given to them by nature.
