Hey /lit/, do you know of any novels concerning somebody whose only form of real contact with humans is via emails etc, or gets obsessive about someone they've never met a la Mark Chapman?

Thanks

No problem. It's a very good book, and was made into an award winning movie starring Peter Sellers.

Being There looks like an interesting take on hyperreality. Plus there's a Peter Sellers film of it. I'm sold!

Perhaps Enduring Love by Ian McEwan. A guy sees another guy at the scene of a hot air balloon accident and gets obsessed with him. He starts sending him loads of letters/phonecalls and stuff.
