Calling the reader out for your stories shortcomings is pretty low dude. Get some thicker skin or a backbone. Maybe leave puberty.

You could take a step to the side, and write the story from the viewpoint of a witness.

Step more aside and write it from the viewpoint of a witness who is a mouse.

Right now you've just got the same ingredients others have, and will probably just make another sandwich. But hey sandwiches are good.

I think 'Humanoids from the Deep' makes a much 'deeper' study. The scene from the Millennium series was too short and to easily resolved by her raping and tattooing him.

Where humanoids from the deep offers no so such resolution and show's the filthy deplorable nature of the act.
