I'm a manual laborer so my experiences are with the dumbest but a Spanish literacy test would do little. One older gentlemen told me he couldn't read Spanish because his father pulled him out of school at 7 to work. He's in his 50s I believe.
A lot of have trouble speaking Spanish as well because that is their second language. Their first is their weird native dialect. It's referred to as "chiapas" but some of them take offense to that term, not sure why.

This is way overblown online, it's become almost an urban myth. No one gets clowned on for doing well in school, it's extremely encouraged among black families, and faculty, and more mature student bodies to do well in school and in extracurricular activities. Black schools and blacks students not doing as well as other groups have more to do with poverty, school funding, safety, and untreated mental trauma or illnesses among black Americans. The "acting white" thing is a little more complex than what it sounds like but in a nutshell it's more of a remark on culture, and persona rather than success in anything that requires cognitive ability.

Very untrue. I am a white person in a black area, graduated from a mainly black high school less than 5 years ago. The school literally had to have special programs for retarded black people to graduate. There’s a program where if you fail 10th grade, you can skip to being a 12th grader the next year if you make above a 70% in all classes while you’re repeating the 10th grade. So skipping a grade for doing the bare minimum(a 70% is the bare minimum to pass a class).

Have you ever seen what little kids do when they're losing a game? Kids are really competitive and they want to win, so much so that they cheat far more than adults at games. But when a kid is in dead last and they have no hope of winning, they pretend like they want to be in last place. They start losing "on purpose" and celebrating how bad they are. If it's Mario Kart they'll start driving backwards. If it's a board game they start cheering every time they roll a 1. It's the same thing with kids who cant read.
