Names are pretty easy to me, assuming you're going with stand ins from your personal life. IE a guy from High school named Johnny resembles a character, I might pick "Joey". Also fictional characters, maybe stuff from mythology. John Updike's stand in for the goddess Venus was named Vera. For something slightly more advanced you should be looking for the name to mean less than what the word itself represents. Whether it be from the word's origin, location, or time of relevance.

Start writing. Names don't really matter in a draft, just use any name that comes to mind. As the story develops you will get a better idea of who the characters are and once that starts taking place you can start writing bios for them. Second draft/revision takes those bios into account. Names can be changed anytime, not worth worrying about, just pick a name and you can change it down the line if you come up with something better.
