what language should I learn next to read some ELITE poetry? Russian is an obvious choice since I'm an eastern euro so it'll be easy, but I'm also bombarded with Korean propaganda about their poetry

the year is 2024 society has become so isolated the majority of meals are eaten alone, often in the car. many adults have zero friends and their only social interaction is at work with people they dislike and don't quite know. familiea are scattered across the continent and convene annually. phonecalls died out 15 years ago. social instincts are so atrophied that simply watching a video of another human eat gives the brain a strong impression of togetherness with others.

I think Japanese poetry is very nice. There is enormous beauty in its simplicity and minimalism. It’s almost the complete opposite of Western poetry and yet strangely identifiable.

I already speak French. Spanish would probably be fine too but that language triggers me a bit. Japanese probably too difficult, and if I was learning that I'd just go for Chinese instead.
I think it'll be Russian desu. But have more cute japs eating stuff.
