Any good books on Indo European religions, especially their origins and evolutions?
I know this basically encompasses every religion to some extent, so i'd prefer works that focus on the evolution of these religions as the indo europeans migrate away from the Pontic Steppes/Modern Ukraine.

I‘m thinking about getting The Horse, The Wheel, and Language from the library next weekend. That seems to be an accepted text on the matter though I can‘t yet speak to whether it is a good one.

YES.
Transient gods, however great, were not too distant from man. So the Germanic Aryan had not lost the habit of rising up to them. His veneration for his ancestors readily confused them with the higher powers, and effortlessly he sang to them in adoration. He liked to believe that he was descended from beings greater than himself, and just as so many Hellenic races were attached to Jupiter to Neptune, to the god of Chrysus, likewise the Scandinavian proudly traced his genealogy to Odin, or to the other celestial individuals that the natural consequences of symbolism easily raised around the primitive trinity (1).

Primitively, the Germanic Aryan was him-self his own priest, and even long after national pontiffs had been established, each warrior retained priestly power inside his home(2).

These were the opinions that the Germanic Aryan held on the highest objects of trust. He easily drew a high idea of himself and his role in creation, especially since he contemplated himself in it not only as a demigod, but as an absolute possessor of a portion of that Mitgardhz, or middle land, that nature had assigned to him for abode. He had built up his land in a way conform with his proud instincts. Two modes of ownership were in use at home.

If you're serious, search up Mallory and Adams. They made the basic Indo European reference materials. Just read them and epic poetry. A lot of epic poetry.

My ideas about the ancient Germanics, wich I derived on dreams and meditations alone, were no different to what textrel is describing, wich solidly proofs that textrel is real.

It's good for an introduction. It's an informative laymen, keeps entertaining, but sometimes get bogged down in archaeological evidence/sites. If you know a little Latin, Greek, or Sanskrit I think it makes it easier to appreciate. Or if you're just superficially aware of ancient history and the history of Indo-European languages (i.e. there was a Proto-Indo-European langauge that most European languages derive from)

It unfortunately does not really delve into religion that much
