Is there any good reason to not use a pen name? It seems like the natural choice if you're writing anything that might be considered subversive or polemic.

Because it is the literary equivalent of being a fat ugly fuck playing a video game yet you make your in-game avatar an attractive in-shape girl with huge boobs. The pen name is too frequently "the you that you would like to be." It's usually something corny as well. Anyone who uses a pen name as opposed to their real one may be dismissed as a worthless coward with nothing of value to say, terrified that their sincere beliefs or literary efforts may tarnish their already-pathetic real world identity.

Mr Peterson was right about anonymity on the internet being a bad thing.
A pseudonym is donned by spineless, hateful people who are intellectual black holes.

I feel you, i'm a Spaniard so using my 3 last names and 74 baptismal names is not practical. I usually use just one of my last names and my first baptismal name.

I've done a lot of ghostwriting, having my work published in someone else's name as well as my own. Mostly because I was only writing to pay the bills.

Many things I've had published without my name on them, nothing "subversive" or "polemic" mostly just dry material on practical things.

That isnt so bad, latinos/spainards can get away with longer names and sound cool. I have an oddball old biblical first name with goofy ass dutch last name.

It's a name, retard, not your world of warcraft account. There's no picture. You sound desperately in need of touching grass.

The climate of competence is shit, it's shit. People cannot separate art from artist and understand that a writer may be presenting something he doesn't endorse or believe in and is doing it purposefully to get a specific reaction. They think Guts is a true story.

Unless you have a trust fund or write anodyne genre trash that can only offend safe targets that are terminally offended anyway, I don't see the point in having your government name out there in the internet age.

yeah because you are not a faggot. This author published last month and essentially revealed a bunch of dirty secrets and he has not even been sued yet. I keep checking the VA court records to see if him or the publishing company is getting sued. Worse thing I can tell is that the book, Imperium Invictum, essentially cannot get any conventional publicity which makes sense. One of the things the author tells us is exactly who owns Trump and how 2016/2020 went down. He reveals an assassination of a US congressman that killed a few hundred other people, he lists like a thousand names in the back of the book as an index of who is part of a global conspiracy and still this book is being sold and website is online. He also basically threatens the ruling class in the book and says if they try to shut him up he will just spill their tea or start killing them lol. A literal paragraph from book in image as example of this from chapter 13. The dude has even been selling it on Amazon for a month. Here is website if you wanna see the first few chapters for free. http://imperiuminvictum.com
