You can't talk about fanfiction anywhere, really, it's not allowed on /lit/ and it's only allowed on /a/ or /co/ if it's on-topic to the discussion of anime or cartoons.

Only specific fanfiction is allowed. Like the Bible, 50 Shades of Grey, King Arthur stuff.

Fan fiction is pretty much only good when it's relatively short and unambitious. "Deleted scenes" type stuff, filling in a time skip, canon-compliant. When you get outside of that it's usually the cringiest, most blatant wish-fulfillment.
