I always gravitated to prose. Unless you count the poems I wrote when I was a literal child, my whole life has been writing short stories and a novel I wrote when I was 17. Sure, my attempts at poetry are borderline awful (although I'd say they're above average in today's climate) but I have never felt too strongly about writing them.
