I know you don't read, but rec me some books with loveable women, because real humans suck.

Sorry Anon, but unless you want to read wish-fulfillment litrpgs, or webnovels with dogshit quality, I have nothing to recommend.

In that case, I'll recommend to you:

Doctor Thorne; Trollope
Little Women; Louisa May Alcott
Sense and Sensibility; Jane Austen
100 Lyrics; Sappho

Enjoy, but prepare for life to disappoint.

I made my through vol 1 but I don’t find any character in Sense and Sensibility “loveable.” Certainly not the Daria Morgendorfer Esque Elinor or the permanently juvenile and insipid Marianne. The 35 year old guy they all make fun of and call “old” isn’t too bad I guess but he isn’t a woman.

I will power my way through vol 2 but I am really not looking forward to it.

Then perhaps you'll find Wanda von Dunajew more to your liking, heh. She's loveable in her own, "I'm tired of this simp; let's crush him!" sort of way.

this is the prime era to write such works yourself, hone your virtual pen and write something. people always complain about how their favorite genres have been saturated so there's no point trying to make their names when the talented people shine so bright and the mediocre are too numerous thus makes it hard to be noticeable. well... this is the right time. needs for this kind of stuff is endless in sight but yet none worthy work to be seen so people have to make do with mindless light novels instead.

Thanks for the speech, but I'm not interested in writing romance, at least not yet. I have greater ideas. Now that you're done waxing philosophic exhortationalist, rec me a book with a loveable woman.

Your lack of Christian charity has been written down in my mental catalogue of /lit/ sinners. I will be emailing this list to God before this thread dies, so you have until then to rethink your position.

I like how the one dude’s gf is referred to the whole time as “the black bitch”

I know this isnt entirely accurate but this book was for me just a better version of a farewell to arms

Thanks for that. I won't take that recommendation now. I'm altogether disinterested in that sort of low attitude.

Quite alright, my friend. As much as I give you all a hard time, and the /pol/ castoff resembles a tumor, you all still are my kindred spirits to one degree or another and that gains you some grace. It also gains you as much rebuke as I'm able, in the hopes I can sharpen my wit against you for the next time I need to eviscerate a normie irl and get myself a meeting with human resources.

I think he's trolling anon. Either that or referring to one of the literal prostitutes that work in the bar the MC plays the piano. It's a very good book.

Hmmm, well alright. I am searching for Ideal Forms of Feminine purity. Immediately contradicting myself, I don't need an absolute lack of imperfections, but I NEED women who are perfectly imperfect. I crave Mary Thornes in a deluge! I need the Platonic Form of Woman in literary casing! And that is why I wish to circumvent all the sorts of easy crassness which can be found with every click, swipe, or cursory scoll in real life.

>>22876392
I am so glad you've said King Lear! You have no idea! King Lear is on my queue! Yeats put it there in the insufferability of his obsessions! I'm looking forward to reading it soon for the first time! Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but Antigone is a part of the Oedipus Cycle, yes? In that case, I'll be forced to postpone the dessert until I've eaten the meal. As for Lohengrin, I must confess, that while I absolutely devour Wagner's music without temperance like a condemned hog, I am a bit afraid of getting involved with his writing. As I've said before, I try to distance myself from what is crass in the world when I read. Reading is an activity I try to elevate nearly to the point of sanctification, and as such do not wish to sully my inner hallowed hollow with the mundanities of human vainglory or ambition. Is Lohengrin ground for which one needs swamp boots or bare feet - if you catch my meaning?
