Why is there such an obsession with reading faster? Is this some dopamine soaked ADHD fueled desire to read at light speed so you don't have to contemplate the work? Do you watch films or listen to music at 2x speed to increase your listening/watching speed? It's asinine!

>Killers of the flower moon
why?
Read moby dick.

If you follow this advice you'll end up reading like two words in every line and missing 70% of what's written. People really read like this? No wander speed readers always have the most uninspired, half assed, generalized reflections about what they read.

I can finally ask my question without starting thread. What do you guys think about American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon by Steven Rinella? Yes need to hear other people opinion on whether it worth reading because I'm sheep.

Yeah, people seem obsessed with the number of books they read, completely forgetting to contemplate the contents of the book. If you read dialogue at a speed faster than the speed the characters would speak at, you've already missed the point.
