There will never be evidence of Homer's story but the existence of Troy and the war that bears its name are acceptable to anyone who doesn't have some sort of deep-rooted hatred of a storyteller who may have existed three millennia ago. Stop clinging to the parroted viewpoints about Hisarlik that emerged in the wake of Schliemann's folly, much respectable work has been done at the site since then.
