Lately I have been enjoying books a lot more than movies or TV shows, but I would probably actually kill myself if I could never hear music again. I can't imagine living like you guys do without ever enjoying the incredible beauty of music.

This is not true and pathetic cope. All forms of artistic expression have been turned dismal by popular culture consoomerism. For that reason I only read literature published during and before the 19th century, after this, mass media mentally violated all of sincere human thought and creativity. Before it, writers were more intelligent, clearer in their expression and displayed authentic world views.
