Anon if you're not going to believe the mystical/miraculous/supernatural stuff in the Bible there's no point in reading it at all.

On that note, I've seen the interpretation that Jesus is essentially cursing some of the crowd with biological immortality, or that there are some immortals among the crowd already. People who really will biologically live for centuries, and live to see the Second Coming.

If all these books were written later like you claim, why would they include potentially embarrassing passages like this that seem to imply the end of the world is nigh (unless read in a more sophisticated way) if they could clearly see it wasn’t nigh

This is so disengenious. "Seen the kingdom of God come with power", obviously doesnt refer to either resurrection or john's vision, but to second coming.
Nietzsche even makes fun out of this in Antichrist
