I just saw like four threads where the OP pic is the Judge, and that got me thinking:

What are some other literary characters who can be pointed out from a visual representation alone? As in, if you posted a picture of the literary character, but left out all other context (their name, book they came from), would the average /lit/izen would be able to name that character? As far as books /lit/ typically discusses goes, the Judge definitely seems like the best example of this.

(Obviously there's characters like Dracula and Harry Potter, which are even better examples than the Judge, but I'm posing this question to be more focused on books /lit/ typically reads and discusses.)

To answer my own question: there's quite a few Infinite Jest characters I could easily name from a visual representation alone. Michael Pemulis, Mario Incandenza, and Madame Psychosis are the big ones. Pemulis due to his hat, the others due to being ugly and disfigured.

Feel like he's an edge case. Depending on the rest of the picture -- is he holding a bloody axe? is he in his shitty apartment? -- then yea I feel like you could name him easily. But I feel like someone can end up confusing him for like Jack the Ripper or just another Russian alcoholic.
