Whose philosophy truly embodies the idea of "fuck you"?

With Nietzsche (and other nihilists) we still get a lot of coping about the possibility of making life "worth" something through hard work. I don't want any of that. I want someone to look me in the face and tell me it's all worthless, meaningless, pointless and shit. Humans are just a bunch of dumb violent animals and there's no higher power at play whatsoever.

Christianity.
>I want someone to look me in the face and tell me it's all worthless, meaningless, pointless and shit.

“Meaningless! Meaningless!”
says the Teacher.
“Utterly meaningless!
Everything is meaningless.”

What do people gain from all their labors
at which they toil under the sun?
Generations come and generations go,
but the earth remains forever.
The sun rises and the sun sets,
and hurries back to where it rises.
The wind blows to the south
and turns to the north;
round and round it goes,
ever returning on its course.
All streams flow into the sea,
yet the sea is never full.
To the place the streams come from,
there they return again.
All things are wearisome,
more than one can say.
The eye never has enough of seeing,
nor the ear its fill of hearing.
What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.
Is there anything of which one can say,
“Look! This is something new”?
It was here already, long ago;
it was here before our time.
No one remembers the former generations,
and even those yet to come
will not be remembered
by those who follow them.

It's pointless. Will you worship what your own hands have built? How can you please God? Would you build a house for him with your hands, hands God made, with materials God made?

But there is transcendence as well.

Start with Ecclesiastes, then Job, and pic related. Then consider the Canticle of Canticles and they it is written about the soul. Read Romans 7-8 on slavery and freedom. Then you are ready to read the Gospels.

Seconding Ecclesiastes.
You could also try classical tragedies.
Though both of the above do not fully embrace pure senselessness. As in Ecclesiastes the revelation of insignificance is meant to lead one to a resignation to follow God and one's own work, and in classical tragedy a higher fate produces absurd suffering but has a reason of its own kind--it makes something right again.
Hollebeq (however it's spelled) or Samuel Beckett might be more up your alley

Microeconomics kind of implies this

>> No.22633119

Microeconomics simply punts on questions of value by throwing everything into the black box of "tastes" and "social welfare functions."

Like, why did Augustine and Bernard of Clairvaux throw away all their wealth and become celibate priests? Tastes. Why did Merton, obviously and extremely intelligent guy who could have gone far in 20th century business become a monk and then a hermit? Tastes.

Nietzschecels are so delusional.

>> No.22637335

Nietzsche distinguished between active nihilism and passive nihilism which both have the same premise. Passive nihilism is what most people think nihilism is, active nihilism is more like what is now called existentialism. So yes Nietzsche was an active nihilist, but no he wasn't a passive nihilist.

Anyway OP, try Emil Cioran. He's kind of like if you took Nietzsche and inverted all the life-affirming and self-overcoming parts. Might still be too much coping or just too depressed for you but he can be an enjoyable read.

I would actually like to know opposite recommendations - which Nietzsche's works cover the theme of making life worth it through hard work ? (I'm a former neet pholosphylet thats just getting back into reading again)
