So I’ve tossed this idea out a few times but finally decided to make a thread for it.

How about a read along composed of a bunch of short stories, essays, and poems from different writers? Say 20 pages max per story/essay/poem and 3-4 a week?

Would there be any interest in this? Anons can throw suggestions into the ring and we can get a schedule going if there is interest. You have to be able to provide the piece you are putting forth so others can read it if they don’t have it though

I think its gonna depend on the short story or poem. If its a good short story i am interested.

I'd be moderately interested. I have ideas for sci-fi short stories although some of them might be too mainstream/contemporary for a lot of /lit/ users preferences. What do you think of picrel recs?

I like it. My idea would be to get an eclectic group so there is a lot to sample. Like everyone put forth a short work or two that they can provide, and about two days per work before moving on to the next one

Maybe decide on a theme/genre/author for each thread so that there's some rhyme and reason to the discussions. We're still in October so something horror/autumn themed would be interesting. I know a lot of people on here love Lovecraft/Blackwood/C.A. Smith, etc.
