I genuinely can't believe people who can't "imagine" things exist. Do they even get the Megumin meme?

I will never believe this. If they can draw an apple how can they not see it in their head? How can they recognize an apple for an apple?

These people exist. Next time you are outside, take an observation of people who are always on their phone versus those who, at least relatively, not as much as on their phone as the former. The possible explanation on why this is prevalent and perhaps a growing trend is because of, as trite as it sounds, social media. Social media incentivizes quick thought and easy imagery and hand holding as opposed to working through a problem by developing a fallible model of the world.

It's somewhat of a half truth. Telling people to "imagine an apple" may be difficult precisely because there is no action verb. Tell people to "imagine a nigger eating a rotting apple" is far easier to imagine.

how many apples have I seen in my life? how hard have I scrutinized each individual apple I've seen? how detailed is my view of the platonic model of an apple?

I'm a 1, the apple in my head is in colour and with higher polygon count than yours! I am totally superior to you, fellow human being.

I am an apple juice enjoyer
I juiced my own apples
Made my own cider
Apples were my job
I am an apple man
My name is barely not Apple
I see the apple
While you were voting
I was honing the apple
While you were doomscrolling
I was honing the apple
While you were getting gangbanged by niggers from Tinder
I was honing the apple
While you were trusting the science and protesting in public
I was honing the apple

This apple chart discussion is always very vague. There's no solid comparison about how strong image a 1 would actually be. One way to find a comparison of the visual clarity that most probably can get is by comparing to memories of dreams. Atleast for me visual imaging is like conjuring false visual memories of dreams. Not exactly like seeing, but still visual.

I'm going to smother you with a pillow, boomer. This "imagine the apple" thing is the biggest pseud distraction I've seen in a hot minute. Every midwit in existence is using it as desperate "proof" they are the only real truly-thinking person and everybody surrounding them is an unthinking sheep. It's so easily disproven that if you asked someone to envision something they actually regularly interact with, such as a steering wheel or their shoe or their smartphone, they'd envision it as vividly as if they regularly interacted with red delicious apples.
