We're having a /lit/ meetup in Boston this Saturday.

Email bostonliterature at gmail if you're interested & I'll give you the place & time.

>Why?

If you've been to university organizations, reading groups, or hung out in a cafe up here, you've noticed the stifling eggshell-walking culture. And also that no one reads /lit/ books.

>What?

Something in the vein of Ben Franklin's Junto, Emerson's Transcendental Club. Discussion, critique, &c.

Just sent you guys an email.
Will look forward to seeing you all there
Out of curiosity, how come these are usually held in Boston? Not that I'm complaining, since I live here, but my other /lit/ friend has told me about this Boston meetup before as well. Does /lit/ ever get together in other parts of the country?

Every single one of these meetups is fake there are never any photos even though they've supposedly been going on for years. The last in Salem produced no discussion nor photographs.

Nah, I have an IRL /lit/ friend, and he's told me about 'em.
He even got a crazy stalker from one of them, who wrote down plans to kill him and other /lit/ users before he wound up getting arrested by the cops. But w/e, I feel like that's worth the risk for me, in order to experience some good socialization.

Do any grad students/faculty in the area come to these? Are people worried about doxxing themselves if they work in academia too much to come?
