Buy and read Plato Five Dialogues, then the Symposium and the Republic. This is the basic intro to Plato. But you should be familiar with ancient Greek literature in general.

you're in for endless seething of christian, religious retards in this thread.

Start with Genealogy. It was written explicitly to be more accessible to people. Twilight of the idols is reference heavy and makes sense only when you've encountered the actual idols, and anti-christ is a further development of some of the ideas found in genealogy.

Yo will misunderstand him and compare your values and beliefs to his, missing the spirit of Nietzsche; then you will make a thread isolating a paragraph or quote out of context as a pseudo-bait thread in which other anons who don’t understand Nietzsche will reply; a shitstorm will ensue

90% chance this happens

No.

The Genealogy of Morals is the easiest to read and is typically given as the introduction.

Thus Spoke Zarathustra captures Nietzsche's spirit the best - which is important in this case. Many find it difficult to read. Reading along with an audiobook can help with this( available on youtube and piracy). Anything not understood can be easily looked up, Nietzsche is a very interneted philosopher.

Beyond Good and Evil is the easier to read prose version of TSZ.

I thought TBT should be the first because it introduces you to Nietzsche's thought process? Anyway, what's next to Genealogy? I'm a noob as well, I have the penguin classics version of The Birth of Tragedy.

Listen up you fucking Nietzschean dogs. You are nothing. Absolutely fucking nothing. You are all filth. Squalor. Dirt. Even less then fucking dirt. Less then a fucking bacteria. You amount to basically nothing. Your lives are basically nothing other then obviously to serve your betters, your superiors, the "Aryans".

Me? On the other hand. I am GREATNESS in every inch of my body. I can feel the Persian Aryan blood pumping through my veins, the Sultan and his army calling for my name to lead them to battle and victory. I can see the huge armies under me devastating everything that resembles jewry or degeneracy. That's just how great I am. I kiss myself in the mirror. I want to fuck myself, women are just obsolete at this point. I am sorry that you are all so poor and inferior, it is truly a pity how your sad miserable lives will end in slavery. Such a sad broken destiny.

I like Kantbot's theory that Klingzor the castrated wizard in Parsifal is an allusion to Nietzsche.
>>22507834
Nietzsche loved Wagner's work but he grew to dislike Wagner himself over time, and Wagner himself never had much respect for Nietzsche in the first place, he literally cried laughing at Nietzsche's music because it was so bad.

>> No.22508045

>>22507834
Nietzsche was at first a big fan of Wagner, The Birth Of Tragedy was inspired by him, but Nietzsche split from Wagner sometime in the 1870s, probably over Wagner's interest in Christianity and nationalism. Then he got pissed off by Parsifal of all things and wrote several books solely about how he thought Wagner wasn't all that great, even after Wagner had already died. Even then, Wagner probably remained the biggest influence on Nietzsche's work, and you can detect hints of it throughout, or even blatant allusions such as in Twilight of the Idols. He probably swung between admiring and hating Wagner, as he did with most people he knew in his life.

Kek. What has Tom Cruise written that you've read? From Madison Avenue through contemporary politics to the neo-constructivist philosophies popular right now Nietzsche is a monstrous presence. Like Emerson if you're an American, one doesn't even have to read him to be saturated with his having been...aiw.
His 'perspectivism' is absolutely the order of the present day.
