Buying over-priced books for college courses that the professors said we needed, but were never once used for the course.

Saturday. If you live in small city/town America there are basically no other choices.

My undergrad actually got rid of their bookstore because students simply do not buy textbooks anymore because no one is falling for the scam anymore. No one paid the ridiculous prices the bookstore charged and got them cheaper elsewhere so they shut it down. Now it's a school merch/swag store with a Starbucks, no books

>mfw i live in a sub 30k medieval university coastal town with 3 excellent used book stores where i regularly find copies of Wittgenstein, Deleuze, various Hackett editions and even Land once; a god tier independent book store where all the hardbacks come hand wrapped in acetate and basically stocks everything including many beautiful art monographs; a number of delis, cafes and local butchers and even a halfway decent art supply store; 15 minute walk from anywhere in town to wild coastline and woodland.

You were supposed to just read the fucking books on your own, for your own sake. Why is that such a weird concept? You're in school to gather knowledge. You're complaining that professors suggested that you read a book without explicitly testing you on every detail of it? You're treated as an adult and complaining about it and you think that you're a clever guy gaming the system by doing the bare minimum to pass some tests and gather some credit points. Don't waste your uni years, you'll regret it.

Amazing, a university replaces a bookstore with a... "swag shop" with a starbuchs. Hecking heck, with a little more work we can maybe get a funko pop shop next!

fortunately such physiognomy type i have never seen in our town, aside from chronic seagull poop problem we have very low on pollutants such as the bugbear endocrine disruptors typical to produce such creatures ... we have fresh oysters all year round even safe to eat during these warmer summer months, a special friday treat for myself, truly a paradise yes.

P much why I almost exclusively shop online. Plus this town is full of backstabbers and I guess that’s what you get with a large Italian population.

Of course i visited last year to buy paperbacks of Plato and Aristotle but that’s it.

>ask yourself why teachers claim that you need a teacher when you have books
You dont. And that is why less males are going to uni in this day of easy accessible reading and online videos.

Womwn arw lazy to look and use their brain, so they go to university to "learn" and that is why most university educated people in the last 10 years are mostly buzzwords and twitter opinions but with a sense of airs about them.
