Is there a sillier school of thought than anarcho-primitivism? Literally seething about phones and buses

>> No.22403504

You may may find the ideas of anarcho-primitivism silly or extreme.
Industrial revolution has made the environment worse for one. and the internet has rotted people's minds.
it is a legitimate political and philosophical movement with its own set of beliefs and values. It is not productive to dismiss or ridicule a school of thought simply because it does not align with your values.

Verification not required.

>the internet has rotted people's minds.

It's nothing new either. This line of thought has existed for all of history and at every stage of technological progress. The main argument boils down, "Technology is too hard to maintain and control."

Until maybe the second half of the 20th century, you could still *escape* technology. Now all food requires artificial nitrogen fertilizer, all borders requires documents, all areas are under satellite surveillance. They’re no part of this planet exterior to the techno-regime thing. There are maybe some isolated tribes in a preserve in the Amazon and on that island off the coast of Sri Lanka, but otherwise there is no escape.
