I have some clashing feelings where I both acknowledge wasting time in front of a screen is the biggest sin I commit against myself and that buying books is too expensive.
Is physical worth buying?

Why would you be wasting time if you are reading the exact same book that you would read if you had it in physical form?

Talking about internet addiction. Feels counterintuitive to have any contact that isn't a must with those life ruining screens.

if you only use the computer to read books that you can't get from the library (keep in mind that you can order books to your local library from any library in your state. i'm assuming people in other countries have similar systems) then you shouldn't be reading that many on a screen. you could even print your pdfs and staple them together. you could even make a card stock cover to make it feel nicer. it sounds autistic, but if it improves your reading experience then there's literally no reason not to do it

Get an ereader. Don't connect it to the internet. Put epubs on it through a cable.
It's not the screens that are bad for you, it's the things you do through the screens. If all you can do is read then all you'll do is read.

>it's the things you do through the screens
the screens are demonstrably bad for you regardless of what you're doing with them

Because of the light? Ereaders don't have that, it's a whole different technology

An ereader screen is basically like reading on paper. I do still miss having a physical book when I read on my ereader though.
