i like penguin classics and modern library but i didnt have a shelf for a while so in the box i kept my modern library in the dust cover got all scrunkled up on my horror collection so now im really sad and i look at it and its still pretty on my shelf but it could be prettier if that scrunkle wasnt there and it makes me even sadder

I pick up a lot of Loeb books second hand for dirt cheap. I like them personally, although the covers are absolute shit. I love the pocket size.

I picked up a bunch of these in Munich. They’re great! The old series are a bit too small really but they cost nothing so who cares.
Translation or glossary (you can get either) is in germ of course so unhelpful if you don’t sprechen.

Most people don't buy ancient classics like they buy modern ones no duh they are expensive. Sure I'd like them to be cheaper but I understand why the yare expensive. Though $50 each is a bit dear for me
