What book made you go "crazy" or changed your worldview suddenly and dramatically?

Valis by PKD
There's nothing special about the book but so it happened that after reading it I experienced a brain fever and never touched PKD ever again. I like PKD although I don't want to experience that disquiet ever again.

Sometimes I wish I just got filtered by this book instead of my sorry ass getting shaken to its core. Nietzsche didn't eliminate my faith in God, but he was closer than anyone else to doing so, and after reading him I never believed in the same way again. Ultimately I found refuge in one who is arguably his foil, Dostoevsky. But still, this work, asides from Zarathustra, most likely encapsulates his philosophy the best.

Not even Nietzsche cared for it in his later days. That’s early Nietzsche, you want Zarathustra and BGE.

This and plato made me have manic episode.
Wittgenstein stopped it, but damn I wish I was manic again. I felt so alive.

Wittgenstein and Heidegger and Hegel and Deleuze unironically turned me schizophrenic (took classes on Heidi and Witty and Hegel and read Deleuze on side junior year of college [I got better and got degree however {Lacan/Catholicism/God was the cure/answer}])

It probably didn't help that I was also reading Eliade and Evola and Guenon and Spare and Crowley and Grant and Land either. Nor the fact that I consumed psychedelics at least weekly for several years.

I don't know, but I wouldn't really take philosophy seriously until I started reading Descartes. So probably him, before that I would consider it "just some language game and playing with thought".

I took a similar path anon, but I was never able to find solace in Dostoyevsky / existentialism. To place oneself under that seemed to be a worse fate than simply losing faith.
