I read it 2 years ago this is how much I can recall in summary: Existentialism is too nihilistic in its answers to modernity, and thus degenerate. Nietzsche was right about a lot of things (especially diagnosing the modern spiritual decay) but his answer to it, the Ubermensch, is not transcendental enough. To ride the tiger of Kali Yuga is to be a shadowy wanderer who has to seek ways of transcendence in the face of modernity. There's a chapter on psychedelics and I think he was optimistic about them being useful for the aristocrat, although they have terrible downsides if you use them without a learned, aristocratic teacher/guide. Also, jazz is a manifestation of lowly chthonic African religious ritual music, and thus degenerate. You can imagine what he would think of contemporary hip hop.

No, that's just what I remember off the top of my head. There are some interesting discussions about certain existentialist philosophers, and some analysis about certain traditions in the west and whether they are viable options for transcendence or not etc. It's a good, and fairly short book especially if you want a detailed critique of existentialism and discussions of Nietzsche from a Traditionalist perspective.

Really? I think he was connecting it more to eastern European folk music, which has swing. Jazz is degenerate, but african drumming is pretty foreign to jazz in general. African tribes do polyrhythms, they don't even count it the same way.

Jazz is often credited to blacks but i think that's just another cope. They played jazz at the time because low class whites would tolerate them, they didn't invent it. I would say that hip hop is more african overall but still it's tenuous at best.
