Communism didn't fail because it's goal of making a society where everyone is equal was aiming too high. The failure of Communism was the attempt of making a sustainable coexistence of completely different people and thinking that it will never come to any disagreements between them. There was two communist empires in the 20th Century: they both collapsed because of ethnic conflicts arising between the unified nations after barely one generation if not less.

Current America has a problem but it's not capitalism, as seducing as this assumption might seem. Look at the map. America is huge. It has a population of hundreds of millions. Do you think all those people have the same needs, the same instincts, the same culture? The number of ethnicities that has entered and is entering the country is immeasurable even if we considered their European settlers alone. Are the Amish, the Natives part of the American society at all or are they only arranged to it amicably while leading a completely different lifestyle on their own? And those are only the most extreme cases. Implementing communism in America would mean more than a mere decline of it's economy and the potential loss of it's relations with the other nations of the world; it would, most probably, result in the complete collapse of this society that has already catched a little covid within a generation or less.

State-capitalism is how we should think of it. The beast and it’s blood are inseparable. To try to slay one without the other is impossible.

Those people have the same general needs, yes.
Immigration is only a problem because of capitalism.
The “economy” currently measured at the stock market is not the American economy.
The implementation of actual communism, with labor vouchers or full on free economy, would be a RADICAL departure from what we saw in the Soviet Union and other state socialist nationstates. Quality of life indexes would improve exponentially with the capitalist boot off our collective necks.
Becoming communist would encourage other nationstates to follow and would end the threat of war, which looms everywhere and always under capitalism. Since the start of the Ukraine war we have been under a threat of nuclear war. All this for MICs greedy intentions we don’t pursue peace talks.
What you call the collapse of society is The Revolution made good this time. This thing we’ve been trying to have since 1776.

> Becoming communist would encourage other nationstates to follow and would end the threat of war
The implementation of communism will encourage other nations to turn their back to America and potentially give one or the other nation the courage of invading the state. Why do you think the threat of war is ever going to end reasonably within the next few centuries? Are you retarded?

The technological advances didn’t happen because of rich people, but despite them. The motivation to make money isn’t the best of drivers. The cure for cancer research for instance is held back because there’s more money in treating the sick till they die.

Without resources stuff can't be made, capitalists provide said resources while also making sure that:
>The product can be made at a reasonable price and scale
>The product doesn't get stuck in eternal prototyping

Btw the "cure for cancer" doesn't exists because there are about as many types of cancers as there are cell types in your body. There's stuff like sipuleucel-T (Used to treat prostate cancer, developed by a corporation), but it's called a vaccine. Also if it was more profitable to treat people until they die they wouldn't try to cut the cunt out as first course of action. In a free economy it is just the resources and time put into it. The motivation in such a world is kindness, love for one another and the world we inhabit. It is a return to natural living. We used to live like this before slavers established their empires

>> No.22101002

There's also the material cost and opportunity cost. Materials are scarce and there's the question of what is more important and what will serve more people. Money signals that. For instance if someone makes a cure for testicular cancer (quite rare and can be treated at home if you're determined enough) but it requires rare chemicals used by fertilisers, takes two years to make with a high failure rate and has an expiration date measured in hours then a decent capitalist will tell the inventor to fuck off. Meanwhile a central planner will immediately start a famine just so the greatest country on earth can say that they "cured cancer" and show the evil west.

>You fret too much
I don't. You simply aren't looking at this on a scale larger than your local dormitory.
> A simple meal, a simple shelter for even the laziest, isn’t going to hurt.
Sure. But providing those comes with a cost. The meal must be gathered, prepared, and served. The shelter must be built and maintained. The laziest aren't covering those costs, but are still receiving the benefits. The industrious are covering those costs, in addition to the costs they generate themselves, and receiving the same benefits. When you include costs, the lazy end up with more, while the hardworking end up with less. This incentivizes being lazy over being hardworking and will thus cause the ratio between the two to trend towards the lazy the longer this system goes on.
>The commune that produces nothing but louts, will crumble apart.
I'm sorry, anon, but the whole country is the commune. If we go down, we go down together. The lazy are also often manipulative and will constantly prey upon the empathy of others in order to continue free-loading. I'm sure you've run into many such excuses yourself in your own life.
>So we won’t raise quite so many of those people
Anon, your system aims to be equitable. You are subsidizing such people. Any restriction of such subsidies will be denounced as oppression.
>We have more than enough of them under capitalism
True. We use capitalism's excess output to fund welfare states, which enables such behavior, albeit not to the degree that full socialism does.

That opens a lot of theoretical worms... accounting as directly practiced contradicts marginalism in so many ways. Most historic capital goods owned by firms are valued on their books at basically made up numbers

>opportunity cost
Obviously you can't do two things at once ever but trade offs don't exist in a non-monetary economy where they might otherwise. The issue of capitalism is generally underutilization/overutilization of resources because of oligopoly (which is the norm in the end since competition isn't profitable)

>Materials are scarce and there's the question of what is more important and what will serve more people. Money signals that
"Money" not spent doesn't... you mean effective demand... and budget constraints as a corollary.

Anyways the real issues with command economies weren't overinvestment in R&D creating scarcity but incentivizes to outright fudge numbers... Mao probably never even knew a famine was going on since farms always reported surpassing their targets on outputs

>costs
I already explained what it costs to make a tiny home. A hermit who doesn’t like being around people can brow a little garden himself. That’s his work. Let him be if he wants to wander into town and grab a mutton once in a while. Most people wouldn’t be raised to behave like this. It would be less common than the homelessness we have now. Far cleaner too.
>the whole country is the commune
Indeed this can work across the whole continent and the whole globe, but by “commune” I mean each sectional community with their various meeting halls. We are naturally separated by geography. Can’t escape that. So, again, you promise to be a parasite in such a world? Mothers wouldn’t raise more of your kind, I’m pretty sure. That’s not a “restriction” placed on a potential vagabond, that’s a child raised to be helpful, loving and free.
> True. We use capitalism's excess output to fund welfare states, which enables such behavior

4chan's code was derived from 2chan. Which published it for free. It was then translated and ported by moot's friends, for free. It was then hosted at his expense, for free, for it's users. And then got popular based on the appeal of that community and its actions.

4chan's story is closer to an anarcho-communist commune, for better or worse.

>Sophists as In experts
The world sophist means an expert in bullshiting, not an expert. Someone like that will manipulate the truth to get their way. For example a coal miner will spread rumors as if the nuclear power plant gives everyone cancer, and people will vote to have it demolished, all so he can preserve his job. Without someone to overrule the uneducated masses any democracy is sure to fail. But then you'll get a Stalin and that's also game over.

Projecting, anon. But shouldn’t I be upset for having to be a slave my whole life? No, you are projecting a false notion of me here. I am mostly sad for all those who suffer needlessly. I’m doing okay myself. Living simply and still able to feed myself.

>>22102970
It takes an imagination with a lot of research I guess. In this world you can see why riots happen. Now look at a world where all those factors are just gone. Why would people riot? They would go to their town hall meetings and address their issues and before they got out of hand. They’d have only themselves to blame if they mismanage. That’s going to create a world of debates, not riots. Nothing delusional about it.

You hear the latest about the WHO? Liberal fascism is clicking into place on schedule
There’s little difference between the two when you institutionalize them.
With a direct democracy, you will hear a variety of opinions and be able to change your community’s collective mind when you discover you’ve made a mistake. That one guy who steered the community wrong will be one guy deposed, and never in that much power as a Stalin to begin with.
I don’t describe a utopia in all this. I merely describe a far better world.

No, it’s pretty well understood that war is between whole nations and are not caused by little drunken tiffs over name-calling or women stealing. I’m not redefining anything.
War between prehistoric tribes numbering about a hundred each would most likely stop once one of them was killed. Because a death comes with a heavy burden of guilt. You can disagree, but people didn’t fight like racist madmen hopped on drugs and delusions of superiority/otherness. War of nations is a crime of commerce and a million times more violent. Grow up.

Wars grew as states did. They raided tribes and other smaller townships for slaves. The Epic of Gilgamesh famously is about trying to take the free fringe peoples into the city. Enkidu is a representation of those nomadic people. The city wanted them to work for the growing state/kingdom. Like a tumor “civilization” kills the natural human mode.
Clearly war profits the victor. That’s why they fight them.

This has to be bait. There is no way a human brain would ONLY and EXCLUSIVELY think about the riot part while completely ignoring the stealing part. It would require extra effort to focus your brain 100% on something not important while completely ignoring the delusional point, which is to say that people WOULDN'T steal in a economic system where all their money is controlled by the state and they have no economic freedom.

You can steal other things besides money. There are a lot of examples in the Bible before money was created of people going to towns and killiing everyone just to steal their cattle, houses, and lands afterwards.

>> No.22107743

>>22107691
The Bible is full of fictions, and full of episodes of people impoverished by imperialist state-capital powers. You just offer up the example of cattle. So I have to wonder why people would steal a cow in a world that’s providing everything to everyone. Why can’t the guy just ask for a milking calf for his property so he won’t have to trudge into town quit so often?
So again, I don’t see this as a perfect utopia. It will likely have thrill thefts as much as thrill killers and other assorted deranged people. We would have to provide our own security methods, but hopefully learn to not rely on an elite guard of thugs like we have now. With nearly everyone taking turns to be on guard duty I would imagine a whole lot of wakeful vigilant people per community. Metaphorically, we’d be a pack of wolves instead of now where we have a handful of wolves watching over a flock of sheep
