I'm an atheist, not because I've read religious texts and found them silly, but because I've never read them (and didn't feel the need, giving my good upbringing I never fell for consoomerism/hedonism).

Question is: is there a way to get a grasp on them without reading it all? Feel like reading The Bible, Quran, Triptaka and The Vedas would take too much time.

Just go to a religious service in your area. The actual practice of religion is usually very different than what is described in the holy book.
The religion described in the Vedas, for example, is very different from modern Hinduism. Modern Hinduism pays lip service to the Vedas while actually following the practices and teachings of later texts.
Same with the others. Jews give the Talmud precedence over the Bible, and Muslims give the Hadith precedence over the Quran.
Christianity and Buddhism are a bit more fractured, so depending on the sect, the book/person they obey is different.
