if we're actually going to discuss his body of work, it is objectively terrible. Among the worst science fiction I have EVER read and I have read every single pre-disney star wars EU book. I have read over 2,500 science fiction books, to the point where I have run out of good historical material and am just looking at new releases which is how I first encountered this guy. In The Black is probably the best of his books but even then it's like a 2 or 3/10 generously. Starship Repo is both unoriginal and awful, and also ironically sexualizes a juvenile.
