Why do so many students struggle with writing? I tutored in undergrad, and so many people had no concept about how to write a paper.
By the time I finished undergrad, I could finish a major final paper within the course of 5 hours.
The actual bulk of time for a paper, I think, is reading and research. Everything else is knowing how to expand and contract.
Learning how to summarize in primary and secondary education is key.
