I'm averse to religiosity as well, but I often come back to the book of Ecclesiastes in moments of nihilistic thought.
Do less speaking (or in this case typing), OP, and instead take more actions. Do what you can in the environment that you've come into with an unyielding desire to partake in reality through action, you only have so little time to after-all.
