I think The Trial is heavily influenced by Judaism. Kafka himself tried to become religious according to his Letter to Father but he associated Judaism too much with his father and it turned him off, meanwhile his dad become more hostile to it after his son started practicing. K as a character I think stands for Kafka (a name Kafka associated with his dad more than himself). This second process can also be performed endlessly, producing a novel Sum. (The rows continue downward to form a page. Start a second page.)
There are limitless higher degrees of higher-order expansions to process. (An endless line of pages forming a column, endless columns forming a "cube", so on and so forth, greater and greater)
This final overarching process is the Omega Sum.

God is the Absolute. The highest mathematical infinity.
