I finally managed to get back into fiction after re-reading Heart of Darkness, and now I'm reading Nostromo for the first time. It doesn't have the same intensity as HoD so far but I'm liking it.

Also reading The Unknown Soldier by Guy Sajer, which my brother recommended after I told him about Storm of Steel, and it's not bad. I don't get why it apparently gets some hate. Finally, also reading Origins of Totalitarianism and various correspondences between Hannah Arendt and her friends and acquaintances. The first section of the book was extremely enlightening, even if I don't find it entirely convincing. But it seems clear that Arendt provides as fair an assessment as can possibly be hoped for considering the circumstances.

Thanks, anon. This one does take longer to get through: I have to reference and look up a fair bit of stuff, but it helps that I'm already familiar with the story. I can't really recommend this to someone who just wants to read the Divine Comedy, but if you've already read it and really like it, I would definitely pick this up.
