OP is reading it because Jordan Castro is a 4channer and shilled his book on /lit/ last year when it was published. I'm assuming OP went out on a limb and bought it due to Jordan's shilling. He's probably just now getting around to reading it due to a backlog.

It honestly might be a wortwhile read since Jordan Castor is the only /lit/ user I know of to be published by a mainstream publisher (I believe it's Penguin).
