http://www.avclub.com/articles/hbo-is-officially-adapting-the-corrections-as-a-tv,64520/

HBO is doing a multi-season series (???) of The Corrections with Chris Cooper and Dianne West

I dunno how this is going to turn out, but mostly I hope Franzen shows up on Curb Your Enthusiasm like Jonathan Ames did. I'm thinking either Jeff and Susie's couples therapist or Cheryl's shitty new boyfriend.

Isn't the avclub part of the Onion (the fake news source)?

Yeah, but if you ever read the physical edition of The Onion, the AV Club is the part at the back that has non-joke media reviews and interviews and shit.

I love The Corrections and Chris Cooper will be perfect for it. I would prefer it weren't multi-season, somehow I think a mini-series would make more sense, but I'm sure they know what they're doing.

I also heard John Krasinski and Aaron Sorkin are developing a series about the history of Hollywood centered around the Chateau Marmont (based on the book 'Life at the Marmont'). Just another thing to look forward to from HBO.

HBO consumes my life.

God, The Corrections was the most pretentious fucking book I've ever read. It was so pretentious I actually would say out loud to the book, "Are you fucking kidding me?"

Ugh.
