What are some other deeply moving pious books? Ever since I read Resurrection nothing really reaches the same level and I need that itch scratched

The Brothers Karamazov

is this actually good? w&P and AK are my favorites, but from ive heard this one comes off more like a political manifesto rather than a good meditation on the human experience and spirituality and whatnot like the former novels were

Ya its good. It's super political but so was Tolstoy.

It is very good. I was captivated by the story throughout and was very invested in Nekhlyudov and Maslova's progressions. Yes there are some politics but nothing that you didn't know about Tolstoy already. Pick up the Briggs' translation (book in OP)

read other tolstoy works. most of his stuff in his late years have the same feeling as this book.

I read God Sees the Truth But Waits. I enjoyed it, but it's way too short. If it was 500 pages and delved deeper into the profundity of it's message it would've been a masterpiece
