Discworld, probably. Gods are kind of mostly just laid-back assholes who occasionally smite atheists for trying too hard and they just play board games with each other that determine the course of fate, which often doesn't account for mortals having free will so they fuck up a lot. One of the most in-depth gods is Om, who's sort of a catch-all god for a not-Egypt area, except in his introductory book, Small Gods, people have stopped worshiping him specifically, and moreso they worship the idea of his religion, so he's actually a mostly powerless turtle because literally only one person actually believes in him properly. There's also the "goddess of things that get stuck in drawers" who is immensely powerful because she's always cursed whenever something gets stuck in a drawer. She uses said power to make things get stuck in drawers.

So this really isn't technically bad, for what it is. A given chapter might be better than one from another book in this bottom-level genre. The problem is that it's just hundreds of pages of monologue. There are no other characters or character interactions. There is a flash of hope when the MC gets a pet, but it turns out to be largely mute and retarded. More monologue. Then he meets up with a human he can speak with in a situation with good story potential. It's over in two chapters, back to a loner narrating his life. It's wearying. Another character appears, gone in pages. Next time it's a group, but he can only speak to one, and he has no relationship with her. I made it into book 2, but it might be time to pull the plug on this.

So you guys prefer audiobooks or reading? Audiobooks are a bit too slow for me so I tend to avoid them

If you've read tons of litrpgs try Level Up by Sugralinov - a regular guy gets a system IRL, or Champion is Playing a kind of genre satire featuring a lucky retard MC. This happens in MST trilogy too. With the princess sleeping and giving up her virginity to some dude because she thought he was handsome, granted she was in a vulnerable state when it happened.

Not always, really. The most popular LitRPGs tend to have pretty clear archetypes for their characters. He Who Fights With Monsters is the most tricky to pinpoint but he's broadly a Rogue-type. Primal Hunter is just a Ranger, Defiance of the Fall is pure unga bunga Warrior, etc. It depends on the way the LitRPG system works, though, because some don't even really have that sort of delineation.

Even the more out-there ones like Dungeon Crawler Carl have a fairly 'clear' archetype. Carl's an Engineer/Inventor/Bomber + Monk sort of deal. VRMMO LitRPGs might do that "weird niche unique class" thing but they'll still often fall into an archetype if they're not just 'good at everything'.

Just read Ring Around the Sun by Cilfford Simak, the guy who wrote City, it's an anti-urbanism novel, the villain is literally a rich obese blob-tier man who works as a spokesman for the top 10% of the world. Simak has this "all men are brothers" belief and it really shines in the book's third act, beautiful ending too.

It's probably a case of attempting a relatively direct translation. Asian languages tend to be a bit more contextual/dense, so you have to put in more work to get the proper notions across in English translations (translations from English to Japanese have their own problems of course), but that requires creativity on the part of whoever's localising, so you often get very 'stock phrase' sort of deals like "It can't be helped", which is a particular thing in Japanese that has different meanings depending on context, and "it can't be helped" fits at least a few of those, but it's not a one-size fits all translation.

Right place, right time. He filled a void, and released enjoyable stories regularly that didn't end on cliffhangers with deus ex machina.

I think there is a video panel with Sanderson and a few other authors talking, where Sanderson introduced his laws, which he says he uses so there are no ways to write yourself into a corner and use a deus ex machina to get out of it. The other authors argued that using his laws would make writing harder because you can't pull shit out your ass when pressed.

More specifically, MC's friend who is going to become kings gets married to a cute virgin girl, but she gets stolen from him before he can fuck her and she gets sent to another kingdom. The friend gets thrown in the cuck dungeon and she goes off and gets married to the king there and fucks him a lot and he impregnates her. She gets back with MC's friend at the end and he feels inadequate because she's sexually experienced now and he' still a virgin, but he gets over it and decides to raise her baby as his own son and so he can inherit the crown too. Also there's a whole secondary plotline about all the women in the city having to become prostitutes and how cucked their husbands feel. Various other things too. If the only thing you care about is MC getting cucked, the rest of the shit will scare you and make you think he will get cucked too, but he doesn't somehow. But cuckoldry everywhere else.

I don't remember every detail, but basically if the MC dies then he gets resurrected but it causes someone else to die. He doesn't find out that the mechanic works like this until later, so he doesn't try to preserve his life very much. But it ends up targeting his girlfriend so since she is going to die anyway she does this thing to sacrifice herself to stop this evil goddess thing. MC then acquires a used goods ex-prostitute assassin mage girlfriend.
