Anyone else have words they repeat or rely on too much when writing? I'm trying to stop spamming the word "just" so much.

I overuse "just" as well. Not even sure where that came from

I have "just" autism too, feels bad man

For me it's 'though' and 'seemingly' (which is kind of a stupid word to begin with) Also there is probably others that I'm not aware of, which is more of a problem.

I'm extremely cognizant of exactly this. I find that in my effort to ignore my favourite words my prose become wooden and inauthentic. If the word comes to you naturally, play with it, be ironic in your use of it at time. Rhyme with it.

I suffered literal brain-damage, so my vocabulary is limited and I repeat a small selection of stock phrases such as "in the case of."

Of course, but I'm not sure it's as much of an issue as it feels like. Think of any of your favourite texts or authors and I'm sure you will remind yourself of a multitude of idiosyncrasies and repeated phrases or structures in their language and style, yet in almost every case it benefits the work more than it detracts from it. The ever-exalted Homeros builds his poetry upon it. As long as you're conscious of it you don't need to be so self-conscious.

I remember how the hobbits and the narrator himself often describe everything they first come in contact with as queer

I use the equivalent of "therefore" in my language far too much

Little and gaze. I don't know how I even fucking find the space to use little so much, I just go back and notice them.
