Good morning/afternoon/evening my fair /lit/izens,

I know this isn't really a literature question, but I think it's something worthy of discussion here: what are your preferred notebooks and pens? I want to treat myself with a notebook and a few writing utensils that are aesthetically pleasing and that make the act of writing feel good.

I've happily used generic spiral notebooks and Bic roundsticks for a long time now, but I want to splurge on something that won't become a frayed mess of bled-through pages and torn edges.

Moleskines are great.

Yes, they are. And now we will have a bunch of faggots responding how it's all about the words and how real artist have transcended physical needs and write on toilet paper and how nice notebooks are for posers.

Lamy Safari, fine, but I don't like the ink it comes with.

Why so expensive? Do they really make them from moles?

Yea, they do. I see no other option for explaining the high prices.

C'mon, you can't be this stupid can you? Every writer has a notepad because you can't always have a fucking laptop with you. Some people also use dictaphones.

And OP get a moleskine.

This thread really is pretty stupid though.

I've always used the shittiest notebooks you can buy because I fill them up so fast and my dick is so huge that if I bought expensive ones with nice paper I'd create a massive bubble in the economy and if I were to die and stop writing we'd enter a global recession booya.

Moleskin notebook and a decent fountain pen, like a Parker or Waterman. (Mont Blanc is overrated and overpriced.)

Ballpoints don't compare, gel pens are too iffy, and good rollerball pens are hard to find and don't last long enough.

I just carry a pencil. A simple little thing that feels good, sounds really pleasing (all that scratching) and can easily be erased.

My mom got me a moleskine notebook a ways back. I prolly wouldn't have spent that much on it myself but it is nice. I'm tempted to get another 'cause this one's almost full.

I use pens I get 50 for $3 at a local junk store. They're ones that should have company names on them, but they've been misprinted somehow. Black ink, really smooth writing, last for fucking ever. My dad and I have probably bought about 600 of them. We both are retarded for not losing pens, plus I give bunches of them to my roommates etc.

I highly recommend looking for a pen deal like this.

I've got a bunch of moleskines but I bought them on an employee discount.

They're insanely overpriced otherwise. They could probably be stolen easily .

You think thats bad. I tried writing about one of my smoking characters with an English pen. When i re-read it he was sat down drinking a whiskey and sucking on a fag. I was livid.
