I've never read through such a dense and learned book so imbued with spirit. In the second chapter, you find yourself delving into mathematical systems of different civilisations. Then subsequently, you get a crash course on architecture and even music, yet he ties them altogether in a cogent thesis that has applications today and gives great insight into all human endeavors. The sheer breadth is mystifying. I have never read a book having come away with so much.
