To be fair, how Mary Shelley lost her virginity highlights how much less try hard and how much more edgy she was than her husband. Percy desperately wanted into her family, while Mary is a product of it, and for Percy fucking on the grave was like a 90s bisexual showing off their heartagram tattoo to show they were edgy and sensitive, while for Mary it was like the 40 year old hooker telling you playing dead costs 500 extra and gets in the ice bath the second it clears venmo unprompted.
