What do I read? I'm completely lost. I grew up in a strictly Muslim religious household, but I'm starting to realise there's more to the nature of existence than religious doctrine. I'm at a loss of where to begin to even formulate an opinion - classic western philosophy is probably where most of this board will point me towards but that's too narrow in trying to understand the wider aspects of existence. I feel lost, and I don't know if any book or literature can fill this grinding nihilistic feeling of losing purpose and meaing.~

What did you read to affirm purpose in your life? Without God or religion how did you even get through the crushing weight of existence? I need guidance, being lost sucks so much

i'd ease in with some entry level apologetics.
all of philosophy has a central hole of meaning, where some eschew having any, while others try to fashion one.
the meaning is God, the true God, the God of the Bible.

it's nice to understand philosophy nonetheless, and realize that central hole.
one of the main points of a theological formation is studying philosophy.
i'd recommend digging into classical literature and some simpler philosophy starting off.
